Curtain headings styles

There are vast numbers of different headings you can choose for your curtains, depending on the effect you want to achieve. Factors to consider include cost - some headings require more fabric than others - style and light.

Pencil pleat with 3" tape

STAND UP RUFFLE with 3" tape

Gathered pleats with a stand up ruffle create a very soft and informal look. Cords on the back are used to create the gather and the width can be adjusted easily. Suitable for poles and tracks.

triple french pleat

Sometimes known as french pleats, triple pleats create a formal and elegant look. Sits back in neat folds when the curtain is open. Used in more traditional style interiors. Suitable for poles and tracks.

Goblet pleat

Goblet pleats create a very formal and extravagant look. Sits back in neat folds but takes up more space than the cartridge/double/triple pleats when the curtain is open. Suitable for poles and tracks.

box pleat

Box Pleats create a smart, minimal look, but still very elegant. Sits back in neat folds when the curtain is open. Suitable for poles and tracks.

eyelet

Eyelets create a modern, simple look with even folds across the pole. Sits back in neat folds when the curtain is open. Only suitable for poles.

Tab top

Tab tops create a very informal, heading. Not suitable for rooms where you need to exclude light because there is a gap between the top of the curtain and the pole. Only suitable for poles.
